Perimenopause & menopause: you’re not imagining it.
Sleepless nights, hot flashes, mood swings, brain fog, a body that suddenly holds weight differently. These changes are real, they’re hormonal, and they’re treatable — with care built around you, not a one-size protocol.

A transition that can start years before your last period.
Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause. For many women it begins in their 40s — sometimes earlier — and can last several years. Menopause itself is defined as 12 months in a row without a period. Everything before that is the transition; everything after is postmenopause.
During perimenopause, estrogen and progesterone don’t just decline — they swing. Those unpredictable fluctuations are why symptoms can come and go, change month to month, and show up in ways many women don’t connect to hormones: anxiety, irritability, poor sleep, joint aches, heart palpitations, forgetfulness, or a sudden change in how your body handles food and exercise.
Because hormone levels fluctuate so much during this phase, a single blood test usually can’t confirm or rule out perimenopause. Diagnosis is primarily based on your age, symptoms, and cycle changes. Labs still matter, though: they help rule out conditions that look similar — thyroid disease, anemia, nutrient deficiencies, and blood sugar problems — and give a baseline for safe treatment.
What changes — and what it can affect
Estrogen fluctuation
Linked to hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, mood changes, and shifts in skin and joints.
Progesterone decline
Often one of the first changes — associated with poorer sleep, irritability, anxiety, and heavier or irregular cycles.
Lower testosterone
Women make testosterone too. Lower levels can contribute to low libido, low energy, and reduced muscle tone.
Sleep disruption
Night sweats and hormonal shifts fragment sleep, which amplifies fatigue, brain fog, and cravings.
Metabolic shift
Changing hormones can make insulin resistance and midsection weight gain more likely, even without changes in diet.
Long-term bone & heart health
Estrogen supports bone density and cardiovascular health, which makes this stage important for long-term planning.
Care that adapts as you do.
Your plan is built around your symptoms, labs, personal and family history, and preferences — and revisited as your body changes.
Hormone Evaluation & Baseline Testing
A comprehensive consultation, symptom and cycle history, and baseline labs to rule out look-alike conditions and determine which options are safe and appropriate for you. Waived with an eligible three-month prepaid program.
Women’s Hormone Care
Personalized hormone therapy when appropriate — FDA-approved formulations, with patient-specific compounded options when clinically necessary — plus scheduled labs, adjustments, and provider follow-ups.
Medical Weight Loss
For women whose metabolism has shifted with the transition: provider-led GLP-1 programs with lab monitoring, which can be paired with hormone care.
Your visit, start to finish
Listen first
We start with your symptoms, cycle changes, sleep, mood, and goals — and how much they’re affecting your life.
Baseline labs
Labs help rule out thyroid, iron, nutrient, and blood sugar issues, and establish a safe starting point.
Safety review
Your personal and family history — including breast health, clotting, heart, and liver history — guides which options are appropriate.
Your plan
Hormone therapy, non-hormonal options, metabolic support, or a combination, matched to your stage and preferences.
Adjust over time
Perimenopause is a moving target. Regular follow-ups and labs keep your plan matched to where you are now.
Honest expectations
Many women notice improvements in sleep, hot flashes, and night sweats within the first several weeks of treatment; other changes build over a few months.
Plans often evolve. What works in early perimenopause may need adjusting as you move toward and past menopause.
Treatment is a medical decision made together with your provider. Completing an evaluation does not guarantee a particular therapy will be prescribed.
